DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE
The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position beginning September 1, 2015. A Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field is required. Applicants must have expertise in advanced quantitative methods and applied data analysis, with an interest in any number of areas that align with the Department’s existing or emerging strengths, including but not limited to (in alphabetical order) crime and deviance, disasters and the environment, social welfare and urban sociology, or sociology of health. The successful candidate will join a Department having a vibrant intellectual community, especially a dynamic faculty with an extensive record of high-quality scholarship and a strong commitment to teaching excellence.

These affiliations offer exciting opportunities for collaborative research, mentoring, professional development, and possible joint faculty appointments.
