The Department of Sociology & Anthropology at West Virginia University invites applicants for two tenure-track Assistant Professors, to begin August 16, 2015. The successful candidate(s) must be able to contribute courses in the area of Crime, Community, or Culture for the Department’s planned doctoral program in Sociology, and teach quantitative methods and/or statistics at the graduate level. We seek candidates who can complement the department’s existing strengths in the areas of community or culture. The successful candidate’s research agenda will be conducive to the pursuit of external funding and show promise for regular publication in peer reviewed outlets. While advanced doctoral candidates (ABD) are encouraged to apply, the successful applicant must complete the requirements for the PhD in Sociology (or equivalent degree in a related discipline) by August 15th, 2015.
