Any recent experiences with Men and Masculinities? Any general information would be appreciated
Do folks have any other suggestions for where to send work on masculinity and bodies?

Body & Society could be another good journal.

It's a highly respected journal and a very good turnaround. Not "top-ranked" like Body and Society, but very well known to any tenure committee.

I just watched a colleague get tied up with this journal for a LONG time due to non-responsiveness, as well as a policy of sending R&Rs to an entirely new set of reviewers (who might have an entirely different take on the article). The journal has a good reputation, but it took this person over two years to get from initial submission to acceptance, and all of the delays were on M&M's side.

Thanks folks. These are all very helpful.
I wondered about Body & Society. Recent issues gave me reason to pause. Articles from a few years ago are substantively and methodologically closer to what I do--a bit more sociological and less cultural studies IMHO.

For what it's worth, I've also heard that this journal has a very slow turnaround time.
