The Rice Department of Sociology (http://sociology.rice.edu/) seeks a Quantitative Methodologist with excellent statistical programming, data analysis, and data management skills to fill a staff position. The successful candidate will provide expert consulting and full programming support, as needed, to faculty on their research projects spanning a wide range of sociological inquiry. He/she will work with faculty and graduate students and will assist in the training of graduate students, teaching one graduate student data management course per academic year using STATA (e.g., Introduction to Stata Programming). The Rice Sociology department is a collegial and collaborative group of thirteen faculty members, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows with research interests spanning a number of different subfields and methodologies.
