yes quite funny indeed. but my hunch is those over the top comments are not from "utah trolls". i'm faculty in the department and we are real happy with these two hires. but i don't think anyone here would seriously say such over the top things about us. yes, we are for sure a department on the rise. and yes, we have some incredibly productive and visible faculty. but we also don't take ourselves too seriously. best of luck to all of you looking for jobs. hang in there.

I would like to ask that people who are interested in discussing prestige, rankings, etc take it to another thread and please leave the "hires" subforum for the announcement of hires.
