Georgetown College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Sociology, effective Fall 2014. Ph.D. expected, ABD considered. The department seeks a broadly trained sociologist with strong focus on teaching and who shares our dedication to excellence in the classroom. The successful candidate will have a specialization in criminal justice and complement current faculty members’ teaching and research interests. Responsibilities include teaching Principles of Sociology, Introduction to Social and Criminal Justice, Criminological Theory, and additional courses in sociology and criminal justice. Georgetown College is a private liberal arts institution and emphasis is placed on teaching excellence in the context of a church-related college. It is located in the small college town of Georgetown, Kentucky, just 12 miles north of Lexington. Review begins immediately and continues until the position is filled.
