Position
Tenure-track faculty position in the Sociology department, starting August 2014.
Qualifications
Ph.D. strongly preferred; Master's degree required. Previous collegiate teaching experience desired. Trinity seeks candidates for faculty positions who are professing Christians and committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education in the tradition of Reformed Christian higher education and be competent to demonstrate to students a mature articulation of faith and learning. Faculty members are also dedicated to personal involvement with students outside the classroom in advising, social interaction, and informal academic and cultural settings.
Responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities will include research methods, introductory courses, and concentration in one or more of the following substantive areas: urban studies; ethnicity; global, environmental, or development issues. We will consider strengths in other sociological concentrations. The dates of the new faculty orientation are August 12-14, 2014.
Compensation
Rank and salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, pension, life insurance, and disability insurance.
