This role encompasses a broad set of responsibilities, from developing a deep understanding of the client’s data to the strategic analysis of that data, along with the presentation of results and appropriate recommendations. Responsibilities:
The successful candidate is a problem solver in a fast-moving and highly diverse environment and will be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and timeliness are not compromised. The Market Analyst will be collaborating with a research team to deliver unique analysis and research services while leveraging MYB’s core capabilities to address clients' strategic and tactical business challenges, enjoys and thrives on data-mining and analysis, and is capable of deriving insights and providing future recommendations based on data analysis.
This analyst will:
• Assist the VP of Research in analyzing data, developing surveys, and implementing research strategies
• Develop firsthand knowledge of clients critical business issues
• Analyze competitive environment with SWOT
• Design and develop effective surveys
• Become a subject matter expert proficient on a variety of topics, industries and organizations
• Critically evaluate information garnered and leverage data from multiple sources (primary and secondary) to deliver relevant insights and create recommendations based on findings
•
• Use statistical techniques such as cluster and factor analysis as well as multiple and logistic regression
• Potentially use social network analysis, meta, and time series analysis based on project needs
• Analyze and interpret marketing data to identify trends, patterns and relationships. Use these insights to develop and present well-rounded recommendations to take our clients organizations to the next level
• Take ownership of projects as well as responsibility for supporting broader problem-solving efforts
• Play a key role in planning, outlining and developing insights content including supporting proof points
• Initiate discussions / raise questions when elements of the data are inconsistent with prior findings or expectations
• Use various marketing analytics tools such as MarketSight for reporting purposes
• Be prepared to present findings at client meetings or over the phone
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field plus 5-8 years related work experience
• Exceptionally strong quantitative, data tabulation and analytic skills including regression, cluster, and factor analysis
• Knowledge of marketing a plus
• Experience and high proficiency with SPSS a requirement
• Basic understanding and willingness to learn hierarchical linear modeling
• Reporting and analysis of required data from multiple sources and ability to provide intense scrutiny of accuracy and reconcilability
• Plans and organizes data and database sources to provide marketing intelligence insights on an ongoing basis and ad-hoc as needed.
• Ability to identify and diagnose data inconsistencies and errors
• Clear understanding of ROI analysis
• Strategic, cross-functional thinker able to gather buy-in from leadership for ideas and projects
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate complex concepts and analysis with a wide variety of audience knowledge
• Effective organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Close attention to detail
• Above average skills with Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Microsoft Excel
• Comfortable with a fast-paced, high pressure environment with ability to reprioritize as needed and seamlessly communicate required changes and impacts to all affected parties
• Must love people as well as data and have strong interpersonal skills- this position will interact and communicate with many different teams with varying understanding of data and analytics
• Eager to learn and develop skills
• May be an ideal position for you if you have a Marketing, Research or Social Sciences background and work experience
Salary Range: $65-75K plus generous benefits
