If you could chose one current job offer, which one would it be? Explain why!

Stanford for me! I would love to be in California. And I'm sure they pay well.

Berkeley or bust for me!
Well, in an ideal world, that is. Honestly, any job will do. UCSD would be pretty sweet, too.

I agree that Berkeley or UCSD would be quite nice, but I've really been hoping for Delaware because the fit between what they want and what I do match up so well.

Cornell, UMass, Oregon. And this in spite of the fact that they chose to use AJO, not because of it.

Washington and Lee for me. SLAC with clear commitment to faculty wellbeing in a beautiful location.

W&L is definitely up there for me, too. I had a really great interview with them at ASA. I'm sure they're drawing some really good applicants, though, so I'm trying not to get too excited.

I can teach and publish in every area listed on their job announcement. However, the fact that it is the one I really want pretty much means I have no shot. So, I'm going to go ahead and try not to think about that one.

Rice! I think Houston would be a great place to live.... of course, I'm probably not a contender but I can be hopeful

hopeful: Just curious, but if Houston is the appeal, why did you not mention UH Clear Lake?

UH Clear Lake would be great too! But I picked Rice because I would love to advise PhD students - and they now have a PhD program and UH does not.

I want to be in the West Coast so badly! Berkeley, Stanford, and UCSD, in that order for me.

Houston? Really? Have you ever been there? Imagine Dante's 4th circle of Hell but without zoning laws.
