I have seen some threads on this forum where people report applying for as many as 10 or so postdocs. While this may be some troll-esque exaggeration, it does make me curious as to where people are finding out about post docs. Are there other sources besides the Croncile, ASA, and the ones listed in this thread? For example, the ones listed here for example are for pretty different areas.
Where are people finding out about post docs?
Do adds for them tend to pop up later in the job cycle?

I'm wondering that too. I have no idea if they mean the big ones like NSF, Ford, etc. or if they are referring to the institutional ones, which seem much harder to track down. I found a great list recently, but when I followed the links they were either broken or from 2 years ago.

This wiki has links to many postdocs open to humanities and social sciences academicjobs.wikia.com/wiki/Humanities_and_Social_Sciences_Postdocs_2013-14Many are for societies of fellows and Mellon fellowships. Most ivy league schools and some other schools have them. There's some international ones as well. Some are also posted in higheredjobs.com or in chronicle.com And there's a lot of diversity fellowships. I think there's a special site for diversity post-docs, but I forgot it.

I'm applied to 9 postdocs and have 3 more that is on my list. The wiki that Humanities posted was an excellent source, so is looking at people's CVs. I also heard about them from listserv announcements (ASA section and department emails). My research has a global/international focus so that may be why so many are applicable. What are your areas of specialty? If any are applicable I'll post ones on my list. Broad ones include: RWJ (deadline passed, health focused but your specialty for the health policy one should not be health-related), Society of Fellows (deadline passed), Mellon at the New School. Others are law and society, diversity, or international/global related
