Assistant Professor – Criminal Justice [Department of Sociology]
The Department of Sociology at Rider University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Criminal Justice at the level of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2014. We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests focus on one or more of the following: gender and criminal justice, drugs and crime, juvenile justice, and/or policing, and who is qualified to teach Introduction to Criminal Justice and Theories of Deviance and Crime. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Sociology or a closely related field. Candidates who are A.B.D. will be considered, but must have Ph.D. in hand at time of appointment.
Rider is a private, coeducational university located near Princeton, NJ, and within easy driving distance or train ride to New York City and Philadelphia.
