The Children and Youth Studies Program at Brooklyn College of The City University of New York invites applications for an Assistant Professorship beginning Fall Semester 2014. The position will be housed in an academic department best suited to the successful candidate’s research and teaching interests. Applicants must be prepared to teach courses in the Children and Youth Studies Program and their disciplinary area, and to advise Children and Youth Studies students. Commitment to research. Usual committee responsibilities. Ph.D. required. Discipline open. Particularly interested in applicants with competencies in one or more of the following areas: children/youth and social media, children/youth and contemporary popular culture, and children/youth and contemporary social movements. Evidence of scholarly and teaching excellence and a track record of research and teaching of relevance to children and youth studies.
