The African American Studies Program invites applications for a tenure-track position in African American Studies at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning fall 2014.
Wesleyan is a highly selective liberal arts college with strong support for teaching and research. The teaching load is two courses per semester. We seek candidates with research and teaching expertise in the fields of politics, comparative politics, social policy, political sociology, social or political theory, with specific focus on the African American experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should have a PhD in Political Science, Sociology, or African American Studies, and demonstrated excellence in teaching and research.

Special Instructions To Applicants
You will be required to upload electronic versions of the items we require, which are (1) a letter of interest, (2) a curriculum vitae, (3) a writing sample, (4) statement of current research, and (5) documentation of teaching experience, including course syllabi and student evaluations.
