New York University Shanghai invites sociologists to apply for a tenured or tenure-track position in our innovative Global China Studies program, which focuses on China in the world and the world in China. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. or equivalent by the time of application. The successful candidates will demonstrate an active research and publishing agenda and a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching. The search will remain open until the position is filled, but review of applications will begin October 1, 2013. The appointment could begin as soon as August 1, 2014, pending administrative and budgetary approval, or could be delayed until August 1, 2015.
