Rice University. The Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank, to begin July 2014. We welcome applications from scholars who specialize in one or more of the following substantive areas: race/ethnicity, gender, urban and community, population health, or culture and religion (please see our department website for more information on our specialties as a department and as individual researchers: http://sociology.rice.edu). We welcome applicants who can build on our areas of research study or expand upon and broaden our existing strengths. PhD required, and applicants should have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, teaching, and collegial service.
