Criminal Justice Department
The Criminal Justice program at UT Tyler is highly rigorous and operates within the multidisciplinary Department of Social Sciences. Both a bachelor's and master's degree in Criminal Justice are offered. The University of Texas at Tyler is a rapidly growing and prestigious university located on a 200 acre wooded campus in Tyler, Texas, 95 miles east of Dallas. Tyler is the East Texas regional center for health care, higher education, and economic development.
Position/Rank and Salary. Tenure-track assistant professor for a generalist faculty position in criminal justice. Competitive salary with excellent benefits.
Appointment Start Date. 2013-2014 academic year: Fall, 2013 or Spring, 2014.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice (or closely related field). An ability to teach classes in the areas of research methods, statistics, community corrections, etc. is desired. The successful applicant will be an excellent instructor and have a planned research agenda. Experience in the field is desirable.
