Does anyone have a sense of the reputation of this journal among sociologists, especially those not specialized in urban sociology?

In 2012, it ranked 6th among 37 "Urban Studies" journals according to "impact factor" criterion. But I am not sure how popular it is among sociologists

A senior sociologist who has published in IJURR recommended that I (ABD) would be better off publishing in a journal like City & Community, because IJURR is not well known by sociologists in other areas, even though it has a lower impact factor in urban studies.
