POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Sociology and Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 15, 2014.
Clemson University (www.clemson.edu) is a state land grant institution with nearly 19,000 undergraduates and 4,000 graduate students, located near the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Department of Sociology and Anthropology has strong expectations for research excellence and a high standard for instruction. Thus, candidates are expected to have an active research agenda and should demonstrate significant potential for excellence in collegiate instruction. A record of, or potential for, extramural research funding is also preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Sociology prior to the position start date. Candidates should be able to contribute to our two-semester undergraduate methods sequence; additional areas of specialization are open.
