The Sociology Department at Dickinson College welcomes applications for a one-year position to begin Fall 2013. Successful applicant will teach five courses per year, including Quantitative Research Methods. Other areas of specialization are open, with preference given to stratification and inequality. Empirical, humanistic, and interdisciplinary approaches are welcomed. Applicants should enjoy discussion-oriented teaching; the ability to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body will be important characteristics of the successful candidate. Ph.D. preferred; ABD considered. Dickinson College is located close to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania’s state capital, and two hours or less from Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and Baltimore.
