Black Hawk College, located in Illinois, seeks a full-time, tenure-track Instructor of Sociology. This position will begin August 1, 2013 at the Quad - Cities Campus.
M.A. or M.S. in Sociology is required. Successful experience in teaching or an appropriate, non-teaching professional position preferable. Some previous teaching experience is preferred. Oral English proficiency for classroom instruction is required. Office hours will be required. Advising, recruiting, and student activity participation is encouraged. Contribution to departmental class scheduling, curriculum development and departmental meetings is expected as is participation in College-wide committees.
