The Department of Sociology in the School of Education and Human Services at Mount St. Mary's University invites outstanding teacher-scholars to apply for a tenure track appointment in Human Services starting in August, 2013. The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Human Services, Social Work, Sociology, or a related field and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service to the campus community. He/she will teach courses in a new Human Services program in areas such as family and youth, aging, and addiction. Secondary field of specialization is Sociology. In addition to courses within the major, the faculty member will contribute to Veritas, the University's general education program, as well as teaching Introductory Sociology and Social Inequality. Clinical experience in the field of social work is also desirable.
