I've applied for an events coordinator position at a SLAC and today I received a letter to clarify and provide further information regarding the main criteria for the position. It first mentions that my application is being advanced (I do not really know what it exactly means) and then the letter concludes by saying "kindly respond to this letter to indicate your continued interest in the position by email to .... no later than Feb 8".
Anyone has any idea what this would mean? I do not know how I should interpret this letter. Did I make it to their first cut or what? Thanks in advance for any inputs.

It seems that they just want you to let them know that you are still available for the position. Just reply and say that you are still interested. I think. Good luck!!

Hola, You think they sent the same letter out to all other applicants as well. No special interest in my application, right?

If they sent the same letter to everyone, then you should still reply. You never know. Think positive .
