I know this isn't an appropriate place to post this but I'm really needing some help.
I have just recently transferred to a Sociology class and have been given an assignment to create a hypothesis on either crime and deviance or health & illness.
I have decided to base my hypothesis on poverty and crime. I have to administer a questionnaire for research on the statement 'Poverty plays a huge role in crime'.
I am stumped at what Questions I can ask, any suggestions? I'll be asking these to the public, friends and family which I will then analyze the collected data.
I'm in need of 10 Questions for my survey. I don't condone plagarism so all suggested Questions will be rephrased etc.

Well, this project is probably already turned in but...I would rephrase the hypothesis. Something like higher poverty rates increase crime rates. Second, asking people about this association isn't measuring the relationship between the two; but people's perception of the relationship. Be clear about what you are studying. As for questions, keep it simple. Do you think there is a link between the economy and crime? Do you think crime is higher during rough economic times? Maybe throw in some likert scale items.
