Anyone have any experience with the journal Sexualities? Turnaround, receptiveness of editors? etc.

The editor is a British sociologist who studies LGBT issues from a constructionist perspective. Most of the published work is qualitative in nature. For my research, the reviews came back fast and the editor over ruled same snippy comments by one reviewer.

I submitted there a couple of years ago and it took them seven months to get back to me with a review. It was an R&R. I took it elsewhere.

have experience submitting to or publishing with this journal. i am angling to send a piece there but would like to hear other experiences addressing the time from submission to initial decision. so far it seems it could be anywhere between seven months and "fast."
