The primary position responsibilities include analyzing data from the prevalence study of resident to resident elder mistreatment in long term care, preparing manuscripts for publication and presentation from the data, and related data management activities. Additional responsibilities include scientific coordination of the national mentoring program and co-mentoring trainees in collaboration with Cornell faculty . There are also potential opportunities to conduct original research using the New York City Elder Abuse Center in collaboration with its multiple community and governmental partners. Opportunities for scientific publication and development of individualized projects that dovetail with ongoing research are encouraged. The ideal candidate has strong statistical skills with facility in all facets of SAS including the modeling of large complex longitudinal data sets, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a record of journal publication, and a commitment to improving the dignity and quality of life of vulnerable older adults.
