Founded in 1897, Piedmont College is a private, comprehensive liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,500 students at campuses in Demorest and Athens, Georgia. Unless specified otherwise, positions are for the main campus in Demorest, Georgia. Position has an August 1, 2013, start date.
Applications are being accepted for the position of Assistant Professor of Sociology. The College seeks candidates who have expertise in the area of criminology and deviance. This person will teach courses at both the Demorest and Athens campuses. A doctorate in sociology as well as a strong commitment to excellent teaching, undergraduate research, and service is required.
