Anybody have experience with Ethnic and Racial Studies? Turn-around time? Have reviews been useful?

Probably my favorite journal to send materials to.
First time I submitted, received an R&R, but one of the reviewer's removed their blind and offered to correspond with me about my piece.
Turned out to be very useful - he had an extremely strong reputation in the field, had retired at this point, and wanted to see my piece become as strong as possible.
From the R&R, I received an acceptance on that particular manuscript. I've also served as a book reviewer for this journal.
Turnaround time is 12-16 weeks, typically. R&R turnaround was less than 4 weeks.
I just submitted a new piece there about a month ago. And my article that I published in that journal has received good praise from readership - saw it cited a couple of times recently by authors of other articles in that very journal.
Hope this helps.

I agree with DBJ. Pretty quick turnover With an R&R it took right around a year for the manuscript to be published online.
The reviewers were helpful (not quite to the extent described above) and the editors are very quick to respond to questions etc.

Has anyone had any recent experiences with Ethnic and Racial Studies. I sent them a piece about four years ago and they took along time and the comments were not useful. But it is a highly regarded journal so I am thinking about sending them something again. But since I am on the job market - I don't want to wait another six months before I hear anything back. Can any one speak of recent experiences with this journal?

Published online pretty quickly, and should be in print in the next issue or two.
