Tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Sociology to begin August 16, 2013.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Sociology or related field. We seek candidates with a strong research agenda, a commitment to teaching in a diverse environment, and potential for securing external funding. We are particularly interested in research agendas that include sociology of gender. We prefer candidates who can contribute to our core strengths in sociology of education, organizations, public policy, social psychology, and medical sociology.
The department offers the B.A. and M.A. in Sociology and department faculty support interdisciplinary Ph.D. programs in Public Policy and Organizational Science. The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is a doctoral, research intensive university, located in one of the nation’s fastest growing metropolitan areas on an expanding modern campus.
