Judging by what it says in the post, I assume it's the one in global and transnational sociology.

indiana had at least two positions calling for international expertise. which is it? the one that explicitly called for global/transnational/international comparative? or the open position, that suggested international expertise was a good thing?

I heard from a friend that they received an email earlier today letting them know that they were on the short list. For the comparative/global search, not the open one.

Thanks grapevine. Even if it is not good news for me. Congrats to the lucky shortlisted people!

Grapevine, what do you mean by "they"? You have more than one friend who received the email informing them of their being shortlisted?

Sorry, just one friend. I didn't want to reveal the gender of my friend in case that would give away who he/she is (not sure how long the list is).
Probably silly to worry about, just not used to this whole forum posting thing.

That's a very legitimate concern, grapevine. Thanks. Was just curious...
