word on the street is that Oregon State University was doing interviews at ASA over the weekend...anyone know anything about the job? I can't find anything listed on their human resources page or in the ASA job bank.

from the es job description. i assume the funding for the position hasn't gone 100% through and that's why the job posting hasn't gone out elsewhere: The School of Public Policy at Oregon State University (http://oregonstate.edu/cla/spp/), which includes undergraduate programs in economics, political science and sociology as well as a graduate program in public policy, invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position beginning September 16, 2012. Applicants should have education and experience in climate change, energy, and/or environmental policy with a comparative or international perspective. Candidates should have completed a PhD by September 2012 with demonstrated quality as teachers and scholars. Successful hires will participate in teaching and service in the public policy graduate programs as well as their home undergraduate discipline in economics, political science or sociology. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. OSU is an AA/EO Employer, committed to excellence through diversity. We expect applications for this position to open starting October 1, 2011 at oregonstate.edu/jobs/.
