I think the automated system sent these requests to your letter writers when you applied.

not entirely but my letter writers were contacted yesterday (5 days after the deadline) and I sent in my application about a month ago.

There may have been a glitch or something but the website definitely sends automatic emails to reference writers when you click "submit" on the application.

The system definitely sent request for rec letters to each reference listed immediately after the application was submitted. I know because I made the mistake of putting my email address under a reference and received the email. whoops.

Anyone heard anything from Harvard on the gender job? Can't help but wonder what the applicant pool looks like for something like this. Any sense of turnaround time, insiders?
