Although QHR has an impact factor of 2, it's a bureaucratic nightmare once the manuscript is accepted.
Although I published there I doubt I will submit there again in the near future.

The amount of amazingly specific editing that authors have to do is really unacceptable (preferred word usage, etc). They should have copy editors that do the minutae.
Furthermore, it was a long review process and even longer to get published, with a timeline that they refuse to communicate about.

Furthermore, it was a long review process and even longer to get published, with a timeline that they refuse to communicate about. I had a similar experience. After my article was accepted QHR said it had to be professionally copyedited to their picky picky style/formatting standards. They also refused to estimate a publication date. The review process for my paper was pretty standard, 2-3 months to get decision from editor. Happy to publish there but annoyed by the post-review mechanics of getting the paper in print.
