Job Description: Teach undergraduate courses in sociology, including research methods and data analysis and related courses; advise students; participate in departmental activities such as program review and curriculum development; foster departmental efforts to enhance the teaching and learning of sociology through technology, service learning, internships and research opportunities. Required Qualifications: Earned Ph.D. in Sociology by starting date; proven ability to teach research methods and data analysis at the university level. Preferred Qualifications: Some combination of the following areas: aging, family, and/or childhood a plus. Someone with a global/comparative perspective would be especially desirable. Other areas are open. In addition, we would value candidates who would participate in the college's core curriculum. Applicants should be strongly committed to excellence in teaching and advising, and to working in a multicultural environment that fosters diversity.
