The UCLA Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin July 2013. We will consider outstanding candidates in all specialties who will contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence. Both new and recent Ph.D.s are invited to apply; candidates with Ph.D.s pending are expected to complete the requirements for their doctoral degree by July 1, 2013. Successful candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic achievements and promise for future contributions to research, teaching, and service. To apply, candidates must submit (a) letter of application, (b) a CV, (c) statement of research and teaching interests, (d) writing samples (e) and names of three individuals who will write letters of recommendation. These documents and information will be accepted via the Sociology web site at www.soc.ucla.edu/employment Recruitment Job #1205-1213-01 beginning August 8, 2012. Reviews of submitted applications will commence September 17, 2012, continuing until the position is filled. Please note, however, that the on-line application website may close without notice at any time after October 1, 2012. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. UCLA is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. Women and Minorities are especially encouraged to apply.

A couple weird things about this posting: First, the address appears to be www.soc.ucla.edu/employment.html. Just clicking on the link that they list doesn't work. Second, once on that page when you click on the "Click Here to Apply" link I get a weird error message. Same thing happened for me in Chrome, IE, and Firefox. Anyone else successfully applied to this? Any advice?

I had to email the contact person. They were very helpful, and sent me the correct link with specific directions.

I just submitted and it worked for me. It was the same address as you listed.
At the bottom of the application it says, if you have any issues, email: JuniorFacultyRecruitmentHelp@soc.ucla.edu so if it does not work for you, perhaps you could email your app?
Or you could try googling "UCLA sociology junior faculty search" and see if it will take you to the correct page?
Good luck!
