The Department of Sociology at the University of Toronto Mississauga invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment in the field of Social Policy. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will begin on July 1, 2013.
The successful applicant will have research expertise in the study of social policy and be expected to teach in the Department’s program in social policy. Priority will be given to applicants whose research intersects with our existing departmental research strengths (health, culture, work and stratification, and immigration and ethnicity). Ability to teach quantitative methods at the undergraduate level is an asset.
A Ph.D. in Sociology or a closely related field is required. Candidates must have an excellent research and teaching record. Salary is commensurate with qualification and experience
