The Department of Sociology at Oklahoma State University invites applications for an Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2013 in the areas of race, gender and/or class. We are seeking productive scholars who will enhance the strength and visibility of our department, as well as our concentration in social inequality. The successful candidate will teach both graduate and undergraduate courses, and play a leading role in mentoring graduate students in inequality. We are looking for candidates with a strong record of publications or demonstrated potential for building such a record. A PhD in sociology is required. Salary is competitive and negotiable. Oklahoma State University is a comprehensive research institution with an approximate enrollment of 25,000. The Department of Sociology offers Doctorate, Master's and Bachelor's degrees. Teaching load is two courses per semester. Review of applications begins on October 1 and will continue until the position is filled.
