from chronicle: Washington College, Maryland Assistant Professor of Sociology and Anthropology, Tenure-Track We seek candidates whose graduate transcripts, teaching experience, research, or other experience demonstrate preparation to teach courses in the area of criminology and deviance. The ability to offer courses in research methods, urban sociology, and complex organizations would be an added benefit. Teaching introduction to sociology, contributing to the sociology senior seminar, and offering upper level and specialized courses will also be expected. May work with our active GIS program and a crime mapping project for the state of Maryland and eventually assume the position of director of the college's interdisciplinary minor in Justice, Law, and Society.
