The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Fairfield University seeks an assistant level, tenure-track sociologist with a research and teaching focus on race. Additional expertise in gender and sexuality would be very welcome. Our department values exceptional teaching and collegiality, and the successful applicant will have a dynamic research agenda that complements her or his course offerings. Applicants should have a PhD in Sociology, or be sociologically trained in a closely related field. The PhD must be awarded before May 30th, 2013. Teaching responsibilities begin in September of 2013.
