POSITION: TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
DEPARTMENT: SOCIOLOGY & ANTHROPOLOGY
TRINITY UNIVERSITY, SAN ANTONIO. The Department of Sociology and Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in sociology. We seek a broadly trained candidate whose areas of expertise might include criminology, law, social justice, and organizations. Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience teaching undergraduate research methods. The candidate will be expected to teach one introductory-level course each term, as well as contribute to the University’s interdisciplinary programs. The starting date is mid-August 2013, by which time the candidate must have completed the Ph.D. Teaching load is three courses per semester. Trinity University is a highly selective liberal arts and science institution noted for its teaching excellence, and located in a unique multi-ethnic city. Trinity’s Department of Sociology and Anthropology is currently composed of five sociologists, four anthropologists, and one urban geographer.
