The Department of Sociology, College of Arts and Sciences, invites applications for an opening for a one-year appointment, beginning in Fall 2012. The candidate must be ABD or have a PhD in Sociology by the time of appointment. All candidates must show evidence of dynamic teaching. The candidate will be required to teach courses a number of courses in the Criminal Justice program: Crime and Society, Research Methods and other elective courses. The candidate will also provide academic advising to Criminal Justice students and perform other departmental administrative tasks, as assigned by the chairperson. Quinnipiac University is a private, coeducational, non-sectarian institution located in Hamden, Connecticut, 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston.
