Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (tenure track) beginning fall 2012. The successful candidate will teach a variety of courses in criminal justice. Priority will be given to candidates who can design and teach online courses. The candidate selected for this position will advise students, teaching days and evenings, online and off campus, serving on departmental, college and university committees, provide service to professional and community organizations, conduct original research and publish in referred journals, make presentations to professional and scholarly associations. The Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology is a multi-disciplinary department of 11 full time faculty members and offers an AAS degree in Criminal Justice and BS degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: PhD. in criminal justice or related field. Other qualifications include documented teaching and record of research and publications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A generalist, experience with designing and teaching online, distance learning courses.
