University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice beginning August 15, 2012. UC Blue Ash College is an open-access regional campus of the University of Cincinnati located in the Cincinnati metropolitan area, with an enrollment of approximately 5,500 students. The teaching load for UC Blue Ash College faculty is four sections per term with the possibility of at least one course per term being taught evenings or Saturdays. The areas of teaching for the respective position includes, but are not limited to Criminal Justice, Juvenile Delinquency and Introduction to Sociology. Other responsibilities include student advising, committee work, participation in departmental and college service, and involvement in scholarly research and professional development fitting with the department philosophy.
Min. Quals.: Appropriate academic degree related to department specifications and prior academic experience.
Position Qualifications: Earned doctoral degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminal Justice OR a doctoral degree in criminal justice with sociology concentration by August 2012 with at least one year of relevant full-time, college-level teaching is required.
Ideal Qualifications: Experience teaching Criminal Justice and Sociology at an open-access college, including a background in online/hybrid teaching. Applicable applied experience.
