The Department of Sociology at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking candidates for a tenure track position at the assistant professor level beginning August 2012. We seek candidates using quantitative methods in their research and who would be able to contribute to mentoring and teaching of quantitative methods at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. The deadline for receipt of applications is September 23, 2011, at which time we will begin our review and will continue until the position is filled. The candidate should also arrange for three letters of recommendation to be submitted to socsrch@uic.edu. The final authorization of this position is subject to availability of state funding.
