Urban Studies - Term Asst Prof Barnard College
The Barnard-Columbia Urban Studies Program invites applications for a term assistant professor in Urban Sociology or Anthropology. The program is based at Barnard, an independent liberal arts college for women affiliated with Columbia University. The initial appointment is for three years, and is renewable for an additional two years. Candidates are expected to teach our New York Field Research Senior Thesis Seminar and in our Urban Studies junior colloquium sequence, and to contribute to major advising. Applicants must have completed the PhD, a strong teaching record, and evidence of ongoing research. Applications postmarked by October 15, 2011 will be given priority (emailed applications will not be accepted).
