CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The Department of Sociology and Anthropology in the Weissman School of Arts & Sciences, Baruch College, The City University of New York, seeks a sociologist or anthropologist with demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following fields: Gender Studies, Social Movements, or Urban Studies. In addition to teaching introductory and advanced level courses, the successful candidate will be expected to pursue a scholarly agenda and engage in other professional activities and service to the Baruch College Community. This is a tenure-track position with a starting date of September 1, 2012.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of expertise, or equivalent as noted below. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, interest in productive scholarship or creative achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
COMPENSATION
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

CUNY offers a comprehensive benefits package to employees and eligible dependents based on job title and classification. Employees are also offered pension and Tax-Deferred Savings Plans. Part-time employees must meet a weekly or semester work hour criteria to be eligible for health benefits. Health benefits are also extended to retirees who meet the eligibility criteria.
