Have any ASA sections announced awards yet (2023)? I haven't seen any, but this is the time of year when they usually start to come out.

Youbin Kang @ybnkang · 12h I received honorable mention for the Best Student Paper Award, ASA Labor Section for, "Unionizing Against Solidarity: The Meritocracy Habitus and the Politics of Skills in the Seoul Metro" unpublished, feeling very imposter today, but the paper is about (1/n)

I also discovered just now that there's something called the American Soybean Association, and they do in fact give out awards (congratulations to the soybean winners too!).

I just got the news that I didn't win one I was hoping for (best paper award for body and embodiment) and it's so nice of them to tell us. Otherwise we spend months wondering. It's often more than 6 months between when you submit and when ASA happens, and committees decide at all different times, so if they don't tell the people who didn't win you can spend a long time hoping.
