The Georg W. Leitner Program in International and Comparative Political Economy, a multidisciplinary program of the Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies, seeks to appoint a research fellow for the 2012-2013 academic year. The fellowship promotes basic research in international and comparative political economy and is open to scholars in political science, economics, history, sociology, and other relevant disciplines. Preference will be given to recent recipients of a doctoral degree who are either postdoctoral students or assistant professors. The terms, titles, and salary of the fellowship are negotiable depending on qualifications and may, in some cases, include minimal teaching responsibilities. The selected fellow will be required to be in residence for the entire 2012-2013 academic year.
Questions about the fellowship can be directed to Professor Ken Scheve at kenneth.scheve@yale.edu. Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a three to five page description of the research project to be completed during the fellowship year, a writing sample, and a list of the names of three references. All applications must be submitted on-line through academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/1189.
Applicants who hold positions at academic institutions should include information about whether they have a sabbatical leave available, their history of sabbatical leaves over the last five years, and a brief summary of their home institution's leave policy in their cover letter.
Applications must be received by December 15, 2011.
