The Department of Sociology wishes to hire a Research Associate in the Department of Sociology (Committee on Education) at the Assistant Professor level for a one year term appointment, to begin December 1, 2011. We seek a talented individual to join our efforts in the areas of study that include medical sociology (specifically autism), education, organizations and social inequality. The Research Associate will conduct research, utilizing institutional resources, archives, and other available university sources, including studying parent support network for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. The position will require an independent thinker with the ability to efficiently and proficiently collaborate with other team members. Excellent communication skills are essential. Mixed method expertise in qualitative methods, social network analysis and multi-level modeling is required. Applications must be submitted online at tinyurl.com/6gg7p63.
