The Department of Anthropology and Sociology at the University of South Dakota invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Sociology (nine-month, tenure-track) to begin August 22, 2017.
A Ph.D. in sociology is required. Preference will be given to applicants who are both competent in, and willing to teach, some combination of the following: medical sociology, gender and sexuality, demography, aging, and/or quantitative research methods. The candidate also will be expected to teach one or more sections of Introduction to Sociology each academic year. The University emphasizes high quality teaching, active scholarship, and undergraduate participation in research.
