Has anybody heard anything regarding the Sarah Lawrence job in public policy? The deadline was Sept 30.

Nothing here. Hopefully no news means we are still in the running. Putting together the syllabi was a significant effort, so perhaps the applications are getting a close read.

thanks, surprised to see a name there...looks somewhat impressive, but doesn't seem like a good fit for the position (at least as it was described)...

Yeah, poli sci has a different set of norms and lists candidates who are interviewing on their wiki. I apologize for pointing to a candidate name here, since I think our rules are a bit healthier. I actually trust the information coming from that board a bit more since the candidate is plausible (and quite impressive).

Not sure what you are asking? I just received this message:
Thank you for your application. I am writing to tell you that, after much deliberation, the Advisory Committee on Appointments has voted to suspend the Woodward Chair in Public Policy search.
Should a search for a new appointment be launched at a future date, the position description will appear in all relevant publications. It will also be found on the Sarah Lawrence College website at: (https://slc.simplehire.com). If you find the description of the position and timetable involved are suitable to your needs, we would welcome your application at that time.
We very much appreciate your interest in Sarah Lawrence College.
